Topeka Scarecrows Re-Sign Defenseman Connor Lind And Kansas Native Forward Quinn O’Reilly

TOPEKA, Kan. — The Topeka Scarecrows announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Connor Lind and Kansas native forward Quinn O’Reilly for the 2026-27 Federal Prospects Hockey League season.

Lind returns to the Scarecrows’ blue line following a productive 2025-26 campaign. Appearing in 55 games for Topeka, Lind recorded a career high nine goals and 30 assists for 39 points while accumulating 109 penalty minutes and posting a plus-two rating.

Connor established himself as a dependable presence for the Scarecrows, combining defensive awareness and physical play with an ability to contribute offensively. His return provides valuable experience and continuity to Topeka’s defensive corps entering the team’s second season.

O’Reilly will also return for another season in Topeka, giving the Kansas native another opportunity to represent his home state. His energy, work ethic and willingness to compete in all areas of the ice make him a valuable part of the Scarecrows’ forward group.

Quinn is a legacy player in Kansas as his dad played in Wichita for the Thunder. While being raised in Kansas O'Reilly has come out raising the state flag as a hometown kid throughout his time here. With two assists in 21 games Quinn will be looking to establish himself in his third season in the FPHL.

Bringing back Lind and O’Reilly continues Topeka’s focus on retaining key players from its inaugural season while building a deeper and more competitive roster for year two.

“Connor was a huge part of our team last season and proved he can be one of the most productive defensemen in this league,” said Scarecrows General Manager Robbie Nichols. “He plays hard, competes every night and contributes at both ends of the ice. Quinn brings that same work ethic and energy to our lineup, and having a Kansas native who takes pride in representing his home state makes his return even more special. We’re excited to have both of them back in Topeka.”

The Scarecrows will open their 2026-27 home schedule on Friday, October 16, at Stormont Vail Events Center. Don’t miss a minute of the action as Season Tickets are on Sale Now via the website TopekaScarecrows.com or by calling our office at 785-289-HCKY (4259)!
