Don's journey in sports management is marked by several remarkable achievements, which has cemented his reputation as a visionary leader in the industry: From 2005 - 2010 Don's been part of the hockey world in the UHL, ECHL AND SPHL starting as an equipment manager to growing into a Director of Corporate sales. In 2011 to 2014, he served as the Assistant General Manager of First Arena and Elmira Jackals Hockey Team (ECHL) in Elmira, NY, where he oversaw a period of incredible growth, boasting over 31 sellout crowds with standing room capacity only. In the years 2014 to 2017, he was a business partner with the Elmira Pioneers Baseball Club in Elmira, NY, during which they led the league in attendance, solidifying his commitment to building strong fan bases. From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Lewis became the owner of the Mansfield Destroyers Baseball Club in Mansfield, PA, again leading the league in attendance, showcasing his prowess in creating a winning culture. From 2020 to 2023, he was the owner of the Auburn Doubledays Baseball Club in Auburn, NY, helping elevate the team to become one of the top teams in attendance out of 16 teams, a testament to his dedication to excellence. Don took over as the President of the Baton Rouge Zydeco Hockey Team in December, 2024 and set a new Federal Prospects Hockey League team attendance record with over 110,000 fans.

Robbie S. Nichols is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who competed in the American Hockey League (AHL) and International Hockey League (IHL). He currently serves as the General Manager of the Topeka Scarecrows in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) and is also a co-owner of three collegiate summer baseball teams.

He currently serves as the General Manager of the Topeka Scarecrows in the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) and is also a co-owner of three collegiate summer baseball teams.

Nichols was chosen by the Philadelphia Flyers in the ninth round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Robbie went on to have a productive playing career that spanned nine seasons in the AHL and IHL. Known for his gritty and hard-nosed style of play, Nichols suited up for several teams, including the Adirondack Red Wings, the AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. One of the highlights of his career came in 1989 when he helped lead the Adirondack Red Wings to a Calder Cup championship.

After retiring as a player, Nichols transitioned into coaching, spending seven seasons as head coach of the Flint Generals. He also served as general manager of the Elmira Jackals from 2007 to 2013. Nichols went on to own the Elmira Enforcers of the FPHL.

Kliment brings a wealth of experience to the new organization. Jon has spent the last seven years working in markets throughout the FPHL three times helping to set up and kickoff new markets successfully. Kliment graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s from Full Sail University in Sports Management and Marketing after completing American Broadcasting School. After completing last season with the Mississippi Sea Wolves and working through the Boston Bruins Scouting Mentorship program, Topeka is excited to bring a seasoned veteran on board to their front office staff. In addition to his on-air role, which will be for all games both home and road giving Topeka coverage whenever the team takes the ice next season, Kliment will also be working in a Sales role with the organization helping with corporate partnerships immediately as well as handling social media for the team.

Justin Rodgers begins his first season with the Topeka Scarecrows as the Director of Public Appearances and Game Night Presentations. A Topeka, KS native, Justin has been a passionate fan from the very beginning. He lives in Topeka with his family and, in his free time, enjoys fishing, hunting, and taking rides in hot air balloons.

Carley is from Topeka, KS and is currently a senior at Washburn University. She has always had a love for sports while playing in them growing up and then working in them in high school and at the college level. She owns her own photography company and is excited to grow her company after graduation. In her free time she loves to keep up with the NFL and her favorite players in the NHL.

Martha is from Independence, KS, and a current senior at Washburn University, majoring in Sport Management. Throughout her time in college, she has volunteered at sport events and interned for a non-profit sport organization. In her free time, you can find her watching or playing golf, spending time with friends, or attending sports games. She hopes to gain valuable work experience in sports with the Scarecrows.
