Topeka Scarecrows Promote Jon Kliment To Assistant General Manager

TOPEKA, Kan. — The Topeka Scarecrows are proud to announce the promotion of Jon Kliment to Assistant General Manager, effective immediately.

Kliment will continue to serve as the team's Play-by-Play Broadcaster while assuming expanded responsibilities within the organization's hockey operations and front office.

Since joining the Scarecrows, Kliment has become one of the organization's most recognizable faces and voices, helping tell the story of hockey in Topeka while also contributing behind the scenes in communications, marketing, merchandise, game operations, and organizational development. His commitment to the franchise and willingness to take on any role has made him an invaluable member of the Scarecrows family.

Earlier this year, Kliment was honored with the 2026 Founders Award, recognizing his outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment to the organization both on and off the ice.

"Jon's a guy who has been here from day one. He helped start this organization and get it off the ground.Whether he's behind the microphone calling our games, helping our staff behind the scenes, or finding new ways to grow our organization, he approaches every challenge with passion and professionalism. This promotion is a reflection of the impact he's had and the confidence we have in him moving forward." General Manager Nichols said.

As Assistant General Manager, Kliment will work alongside the organization's leadership on business operations, community engagement, communications, marketing initiatives, and player personnel support while continuing to provide the award-winning broadcasts fans have come to know throughout his career.
