Second Coach In Scarecrows History Is FPHL Legend Ahmed Mahfouz

The Topeka Scarecrows are proud to announce the hiring of Ahmed Mahfouz as the second Head Coach in franchise history.

One of the most decorated and respected players in Federal Prospects Hockey League, Mahfouz brings a championship mindset, elite hockey knowledge, and years of professional experience to the Scarecrows as the organization prepares for its inaugural season.

Mahfouz enjoyed a remarkable playing career that established him as one of the FPHL's all-time greats. Known for his offensive skill, relentless competitiveness, and leadership, he built a reputation as a player who elevated every team he joined while earning the respect of teammates, opponents, and fans throughout the league.

"Today is a monumental day for the Topeka Scarecrows," said General Manager Robbie Nichols. "When we set out to find the right person to lead our hockey team, we wanted someone who not only understood how to win but also how to build a culture. Ahmed's experience, passion, and character made him the perfect choice. His reputation throughout professional hockey is second to none, and we couldn't be more excited to have him behind our bench."

As Head Coach, Mahfouz will oversee all on-ice operations, including player development, recruitment, and establishing the identity of the Scarecrows both on and off the ice.

The hiring of Mahfouz represents another major milestone for the Scarecrows as the organization continues laying the foundation for long-term success. His extensive playing career, understanding of the FPHL, and ability to connect with players make him uniquely qualified to lead the franchise into its second campaign.
